you are what you say you are.

The older I get and the more I go deep into rewriting my beliefs about myself through EMDR (an incredible therapy that helps people heal from trauma), I am really starting to know that in this physical plane... we are whatever and whoever we say we are.

Life inevitably shapes us through all the experiences we encounter, and positively or negatively that is going to make us believe things about ourselves as we grow.

Once you begin to un-identify with your stories about yourself (and trust me this is a f**king process that requires guts), a whole other world of possibility opens up for you, and suddenly things that were difficult previously are no longer.

What I have found for myself, is that I can solidly recognize my own brilliance and stay in my own lane... and that is a far cry from who I was.

I started my healing journey in 2012 when I studied to become an Art Therapist and was definitely able to move through a lot on my own over the years, but finally finding support with an incredible psychologist for the last 1.5 years has been a game changer!

Iā€™m an absolute advocate for people seeking the necessary support they need, and experimenting with what that looks like.

Now more than ever is a time for us all to be turning our gaze inwards.

Remember, we are the writers of our own stories, so which one do you want to tell?
